John joined New Avenue in 2025 as Principal & Managing Director to lead and oversee fundraising and operations of New Avenue’s current and future internal investment funds and expansion of assets under management. For the past 18 years, he has been the owner-operator of CRC Development, an Oakland-based development, investment, and management firm. He has deep development and management experience across several asset classes. Prior to CRC Development, John was a Financial Analyst in the Washington, D.C. office of investment bank Houlihan Lokey. John is also a licensed California real estate broker. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration, majoring in Finance, from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, and is past Board Member of Oakland’s Jobs and Housing Coalition. Born and raised in San Francisco, John currently lives in Marin County with his wife and their two children.
