Kathleen’s Custom Home

Turnkey Project Cost Today = $696,000
Size = 800 sf

Kathleen had retired and was teaching part-time when she decided to settle into a house she loved in a beautiful, welcoming neighborhood. So she came up with a plan.

First, she sold her home in Oakland. Next, she chose a local city with available lots and found the perfect property for her new home.

In an unusual twist, Kathleen purchased an award-winning design from Nir Pearson who designs and sells plans. A New Avenue designer worked with her to revise the plans to fit her new property and meet the permitting requirements. Her design/build team was with her every step of the way through design, engineering, permitting, construction, and project administration.

"This is to be my forever home,” Kathleen said in her communications with New Avenue.

Kathleen’s dream property now includes her 800-square-foot, two-bedroom home and a gorgeous carport with storage and an adjacent parking pad.

This home will give Kathleen the freedom and sustainability she needs for a happy retirement.
