This long-term project showcases John Cappiello’s deep experience in revitalizing neighborhoods and delivering housing that lasts. John joined New Avenue in 2025, bringing with him over 20 years of experience developing single family rentals, single family homes, and condominiums.

Beginning in 2009, John led the project that brought new life to 135 single family homes throughout Oakland.

Some of the homes were sold while others became part of a carefully managed rental portfolio. These homes preserve the charm of classic Oakland while meeting the needs of 21st-century residents.
