This long-term project showcases John Cappiello’s deep experience in revitalizing neighborhoods and delivering housing that lasts. John joined New Avenue in 2025, bringing with him over 20 years of experience developing single family rentals, single family homes, and condominiums.

Beginning in 2009, John led the project that brought new life approximately 150 single-family homes throughout Oakland. After several years as rental properties, the homes were sold.

These homes preserve the charm of classic Oakland while meeting the needs of 21st-century residents.
