Cost Breakdown

New Avenue is committed to designing to the quoted budget. We know we can deliver quality you’ll love. Our technology makes it very clear throughout the entire design and permitting process, showing how each decision will impact your project budget, so you’re not surprised when it’s too late.

  • Typically ~7-10% of total project cost

    Custom custom design is one of our favorite parts of any project! And great design pays dividends in quality, efficiency and reduces mistakes.

    The hours required for all aspects of the design and permitting of your project often take several hundred hours of work.

  • Typically ~3-6% of total project cost

    We recruit, collect pricing, and coordinate the work of your structural engineer, surveyor, and Title 24 energy efficiency analyst. Many projects may also require a civil engineer, soils engineer and others.

  • Typically ~5% of total project cost

    We get your permits for you! California regulations are real (news flash) and we are experts at navigating these processes.

    We research these during the design process and handle it all for you.

  • Typically ~80-85% of total project cost

    We provide a fixed price construction agreement broken down into 50+ line items. Then we invoice on the 1st and 15th of the month for completed work. No advances are allowed - that leads to nightmares. There should be no gray area. If you see a bill, you can see the work that is done.

    This includes all the materials, labor, insurances, finishes, and sub-contractors.
