Adding a rental ADU with carport in Redwood City, California
JJ’s custom design includes a carport between the ADU and the main home. The 575-square-foot ADU features a kitchen, a laundry area, a full bathroom, a living room, and a bedroom.
JJ will be able to bring in over $3,000 per month in rental income. The ADU will pay for itself and help with the homeowner’s other needs, including the mortgage on the main home, education, retirement, and travel.
