We recently completed a ski house for a value obsessed hedge-fund manager in Alta, Wyoming – just outside of Jackson Hole.
With custom design/build the variation is limitless. There are DIY homes in Wyoming that cost under $100,000 while down the street jet-setters build $10,000,000 ranch getaways.
This post is for the person who’s lucky enough to be considering an architect designed home in any mountain ski town but you’re not a multimillionaire.
The initial bids for this mountain house came in at $810,000, $813,000 and $858,000. The project, once completed cost just under $850,000. It is now listed on AirBnB for tax and income purposes.
This project has a main home and a “barn” that doubles as a gear shed, guest house and office.
Here is are the floor plans, elevations and site plan for both the “barn” and the main house.
And here are the photos of the finished home!
