At New Avenue, we are thrilled to work with clients who have big hearts. They want to share their space with loved ones or even strangers. They want to help ease the housing crisis. They want to give low-income families a nice place to live.
One of our clients in Portland came to us to design a space they could rent out to a couple, single parent, or family in need for less than $500 per month.
The client asked for an open floor plan with a loft, which would allow sleeping space for a single parent and child, a couple, or a couple with a child. Utility bills would be kept to a minimum with natural light and excellent insulation.
A New Avenue partner architect stepped forward to design and get permits for this new home. The total budget for design and permitting came to $25,470. You can see the details below.
