Urban land Institute Lecture

The Bay Area will need 200,000 additional homes to accommodate a projected 700,000 new arrivals during the next ten years. New Avenue created a new development model that can weave small second homes (in-law units) on existing properties and eliminate the need for additional sprawl.

Kevin Casey and Evan Schwimmer will discuss how New Avenue employed new strategies to solve the most difficult development challenges and create a turnkey solution that can identify, entitle, finance and build attractive, affordable, and energy efficient homes. Their integrated design process incorporated legal, microfinance, prefab factory partners, designers and urban planners to create a viable and scalable solution for deploying homes throughout the East Bay.

New Avenue works in partnership with cities and companies that are interested in creating financially and environmentally sustainable homes for their residents and employees.
